
Army Jawan Mohammad Yaseen Bhat who was kidnapped by terrorists on March 8, reached home safely today.
Bhat, a rifleman and on leave till the end of this month, was abducted by suspected terrorists from his home.
The family of Mohammad Yaseen, posted with Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment, informed police that some people came to their house at Qazipora Chadura and took him away.
"Immediately after receiving the news, teams of police and Army rushed to the village. A massive search operation has been started to trace the missing soldier," a police source said.
In June last year, another rifleman—Aurangzeb—was abducted from Pulwama by terrorists and his bullet-ridden body was recovered later the same month. The deceased Army man was on way to his home for the festival of Eid when he was abducted in broad daylight from a vehicle.\
