Jammu and Kashmir: Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists 

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Melhora Area of Zainpora in South Kashmir's Shopian District.

A joint team of Police and army's 55 RR launched cordon and search operation in Melhora.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot whenthe hiding terrorists fired upon them, triggering an encounter, according to thepolice.
