Ahead of her visit, Ivanka said she was looking forward to working with India
US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka landed in Hyderabad early Tuesday morning.
Ivanka is here to inaugurate -- along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao -- the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) today.
Security was beefed up in Hyderabad before Ivanka's arrival.
Ahead of her visit, Ivanka said she was looking forward to working with India and expressed her happiness at the strong friendship and growing economic ties between the two nations.
Ivanka will speak at the summit about increasing the number of women in the workforce through skill training and education.
Ivanka will be heading a US delegation to the summit which will talk about"Women First, Prosperity for All", an idea centred on providing support to women entrepreneurs and stimulating economic growth.
The summit will see a number of women speakersincluding tennis champion Sania Mirza, Google's vice-president of Next Billion Users Diana Louise Patricia Layfield, and CEO of Afghan Citadel Software Company Roya Mahboob.
Even has been to India before, but this will be her first visit as a senior White House adviser.
