He had a life of glamour in many ways. And that life has got him into trouble in many ways: Khurshid.

Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid recounts his days with former cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan at the Oxford University. Khurshid walked down memory lane and told WION about his brief time with Imran Khan.

Khurshid shared that Khan captained the Oxford cricket team when he got there.

“Imran was the captain of the Oxford cricket team when I got there. He was an extremely attractive cricketer with enormous support. He had a life of glamour in many ways. And that life has got him into trouble in many ways,” Khurshid stated.

Describing Khan's life as "no ordinary mortal's", Khurshid added that the PTI chief "has also fought very hard against the regime".

“It's no ordinary mortal's life that he has led. He has had a life of a princely person but he has also fought very hard against the regime and that can be quite hard politically,” Khurshid told WION.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan is still an official nod away from forming a government.

The unofficial results for the recently-concluded Pakistan general elections have portrayed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan as the next Prime Minister. At present, Khan's PTI gallops ahead in the electoral battle with a total of 115 seats.

PML-N emerges as a distant second with 63 seats while PPP has bagged 43 seats so far, Pakistan's Dawn reported.

Although Khan appeared likely to fall short of the 137 seats needed for a majority in the National Assembly, his better-than-expected results mean he should have no problems forming a government with a handful of small coalition partners, Reuters reported.
