A CBFC official has slammed the makers of Padmavati after the controversial film was allegedly screened to several private individuals before CBFC certification.
''The way people are expressing their views after watching Padmavati, one cannot say that it was a private screening. This is not done,'' a top CBFC Official told news agency ANI.
The way Padmavati's makers screened it for individuals before CBFC certification isn't in good taste, he said and added ''There is a thin line between the private and public exhibition of a film. The screening of the film without certification sets the wrong precedent. CBFC isn't happy with this attitude,'' the CBFC Official further said.
