- West Bengal is estimated to have lost Rs 14,000 crore because of flooding, with more than six lakh hectares of crop area affected and three lakh homes damaged.
- The government of Bihar, at one point, had to set up 2,000 relief camps to shelter two lakh people displaced by the floods.
- In eastern Uttar Pradesh, 57,000 people had to move into relief camps with around 3,000 villages inundated by water.
- Most of the 218 people to have died so far in Gujarat are from the state's northern districts of Banaskantha and Patan.
