India's coronavirus cases rise to 70,756, death toll at 2,293 with 87 fatalities in 24 hours

India registered another 87 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatalities due to the novel coronavirus to 2,293, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Tuesday.
The country recorded another 3,604 COVID-19 cases during the same period which took the total number to 70756. The MoHFW said that of the 70,756 cases, 46008 were active, 22454 had been cured/discharged/migrated cases and 2293 had passed away.

Gujarat has 8541 coronavirus cases and has recorded 513 deaths in the state. Tamil Nadu is affected by 8002 cases and the death toll is 53 in the state. There are 7233 coronavirus cases in the national capital and 73 people have died so far.
Meanwhile, Mizoram (one case reported--now recovered), Goa (seven cases reported and all seven recovered), Manipur (Two cases reported and both patients recovered) and Arunachal Pradesh (one case reported--now recovered) have reported no new cases in the last 24 hours.
