Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday noted that India will also be like Asian Games javelin gold medalist Neeraj Chopra if Pakistan stops terrorism.

Rawat referred to the incident where Asian Games javelin gold medal winner Neeraj Chopra reached out to his competitor from Pakistan.

"The step should be taken from their side, Pakistan has to stop terrorism. If they do the same then we will also be like Neeraj Chopra in reaching out to them," General Rawat noted.

The picture of Neeraj Chopra shaking hands with Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who won bronze at Asian Games javelin event, went viral on social media.

General Rawat's comments came at an event where he felicitated Asian Games medalists from the Army.

He also shared said the situation in Kashmir improved in 2017 as compared to the year before and in 2018, it was improving further.
