India, Russia to hold tri-service joint military exercise in late 2018

The Indian military base will hold a tri-service joint Russia-India military exercise at the end of this year.

The joint military exercise, Indra- 2018, will have combined military units of the Russian Eastern Military District.

The members of the Indian defence forces willplan the exercise including practical operations of the units besides respondingto the consumer services and medical support of the Russian units.

The parties will also agreeon the procedure for receiving and servicing of military transport aircraft in India.

A news agency cited that a Russian military delegation has visited India to discuss the logistics of the exercise.
