The doctors protested against the NMC bill which seeks to allow traditional and Ayurveda medical practitioners to practice modern medicine after completing a short-term 'bridge' course
Over hundredsofdoctors staged aprotest against the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill 2017 in Delhi on March 25.
The protest called the "mahapanchayat rally"was organised at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi.
Organised on the grounds of "no work day", the protest was held under the banner of Indian Medical Association.
The doctors protested against the NMC bill which seeks to allow traditional and Ayurveda medical practitioners to practice modern medicine after completing a short-term "bridge" course while the MBBS doctors are required to go through an exit test and an internship, in addition,to their four years degree to become eligible for thecertifiedmedical degree.
