PM Modi has been addressing the first ever Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Parliamentary Conference meeting in New Delhi.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated on January 9 to acknowledge the contribution made by the Indian overseas community toward the development of the country. 

The event was first organised in the year 2003.
