Andhra Pradesh: I-T department carries out raids at TDP MP Galla Jayadev's residence

Days after raids at the various premises of Madya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath's aides, Income Tax (IT) officials conducted a raid at the residence of TDP MP Galla Jayadev late Tuesday.
Following the raids, Jayadev,Guntur TDP MP, along with TDP leaders staged a protest in Guntur's Pattabhipuram.
"Why I am being targeted? Why are raids being conducted only on TDP leaders? If Election Commission (EC) and agencies are working impartially it should be happening to all parties. One person has been detained and we don't know his whereabouts, I'm demanding an explanation,'' Jayadev was quoted as saying.
IT Dept shouldn't conduct such raids without proper intimation to EC, we don't know whether these raids are happening with EC's approval or just on instructions of Modi led Union government as per list given by Jaganmohan Reddy of YSRCP, said L Dinakaran, TDP leader on IT raid at the residence of Galla Jayadev.
