He said, " In a slip of tongue, I said that Yeddyurappa government is corrupt instead of Siddaramaiah's, and the entire Congress party started to rejoice. I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that I would have made a mistake but the people of Karnataka will not".

In a major social blunder, Amit Shah hadcalled the government led by BJP leader and former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa as the "most corrupt government".

His slip of tongue had invited inviting sarcastic comments from Congress supporters.

Amit Shah was addressing a rally in Karnataka ahead of the assembly elections.
