Haryana Assembly Election Results 2024 highlights: PM Modi reacts on Haryana victory

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate his party of the victory in Haryana.  

"Heartfelt gratitude from Haryana! I salute the people of Haryana for giving a clear majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party once again. This is the victory of the politics of development and good governance. I assure the people here that we will leave no stone unturned to fulfill their aspirations," wrote PM Modi on X. 

The Gurgaon seat has been won by BJP candidate Mukesh Sharma.

Incumbent Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini secures victory in the Ladwa Assembly seat with a margin of 16,054 votes.

Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda secures victory in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi with a margin of 71,465 votes.

Savitri Jindal claimed victory in the Hisar assembly constituency, defeating Congress's Ram Niwas Rara and BJP's Dr Kamal Gupta by a margin of 18,941 votes, as per the Election Commission of India.
 

"This was a people's battle, and they've won and I was just a face. I am thankful to all the love and respect that I've received," says Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat after winning from Julana assembly constituency."

BJP candidates have won in Akhnoor, Bahu, Bashohli, Bhadarwah, Billawar, Bishnah, Chenani, Chhamb, Doda West, Hiranagar, Jammu East, Jammu North, Jammu West, Josrota, Kalakote-Sunderbani, Kathua, Kishtwar, Marh, Nagrota, Padder-Nagseni, RS Pura - Jammu South, Ramgarh, Ramnagar, Samba, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Suchetgarh, Udhampur East, Udhampur West, and Vijaypur.

The ECI data declares BJP's win in the Jind and Kharkhauda Assembly Constituencies.

The Jind seat was contested by Dr Kishan Lal Middha, who won the seat by a margin of 15,860 votes. While Pawan Kharkhoda won the Kharkhauda by a 5,635 votes margin.

ECI announces first win in Haryana elections with Congress winning Nuh seat. The constituency was contested by Aftab Ahmed who won the seat by a margin of 46,963 votes.

Wrestler Bajrang Punia congratulates Vinesh Phogat for her win in Julana assembly constituency as she leads by 5909 votes after 14 rounds of vote counting.

“Many congratulations to the country's daughter Vinesh Phogat for her victory. This fight was not just for one Julana seat, it was not just with 3-4 other candidates, it was not just a fight between parties. This fight was against the strongest oppressive forces in the country. And Vinesh emerged victorious,” said Punia writes on X.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh has alleged that ECI website is sharing "outdated and misleading trends". 

"We are filing a memorandum in the next 5-7 minutes. We are lodging a complaint. We hope that the EC will answer our questions," says Ramesh.

While BJP is leading in Haryana in 49 constituencies, Congress' Vinesh takes over the Julana seat again, leading by 4130 votes.

Congress candidate, wrestler-turned-politician Vinesh Phogat is now trailing from Julana seat with a margin of 1237 votes, according to ECI data. Phogat was previously leading in Julana.

BJP's Yogesh Kumar is leading the seat with 26,670 votes.

BJP is currently leading in 38 seats, Congress in 31- a close contest between the two political parties, as per ECI's official data.
 

The Congress party has exuded confidence in winning both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir even as the BJP is leading in 26 seats in the Union Territory. “We are confident that Congress and its alliance will get people’s blessings in both the states,” says Congress leader Pawan Khera.

Arjun Chautala, son of INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala, is leading from Rania assembly seat. Devi Lal’s great grandson, Arjun Chautala (INLD) and Devi Lal’s son, Ranjit Singh (Independent) are pitted against each other in Rania constituency.

The Congress party has crossed the halfway mark in Haryana with leads in 50 seats. The incumbent BJP is leading in 21 seats.

Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading from Ladwa assembly seat.

Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) general secretary Abhay Singh Chautala is leading from Ellenabad.

Congress has surged past the BJP in Haryana with its candidates leading in 39 seats.

AAP candidates Satbir Singh Goyal and Ani Ranga are leading from Kaithal and Narwana assembly constituencies, respectively.

The BJP is leading in 18 assembly constituencies of Haryana while Congress is leading in 14 seats, according to early trends.

Haryana Assembly Election Results: Some party members have already begun celebrations at the Congress headquarters, whether they are premature celebrations or insinuations of final results, we will find out soon. 

Some early trends also show that Congress has crossed majority mark in Haryana.
