Patidar agitation spearhead Hardik Patel was on Friday rushed to a hospital on the 14th day of his indefinite fast as he complained of difficulty in breathing, reported news agency PTI.
He was admitted to the Government Civil Hospital in Sola two weeks after he gave up even taking water in protest against the government ignoring his demands, the report further said.
Hardik, who launched his indefinite fast on August 25 at his farmhouse, was visibly weak and was seen being moved around in a wheelchair yesterday.
Doctors after an examination advised him to immediately get admitted for medical treatment.
The Gujarat Congress is also observing a 24-hour fast today in support of Hardik Patel.
