The Gujarat police have turned down the request made by political parties for conducting a road show in the state.

Police Commissioner Anup Kumar Singh said that the request was turned down due to security, law and order reasons and to avoid public inconvenience.
PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi were to address the last day of campaigning for the Gujarat assembly elections on Tuesday, December 12.
The state will undergo the second phase of elections on December 14for 93 seats in North and Central Gujarat.
The voting for the first phase of election in Gujarat was conducted on 9 December which saw a voter turnout of 68 per cent. The first phase elections were conducted on 89 seats of Saurashtra and South region.
The counting of votes is scheduled for December 18.
