Gujarat election: BJP releases third list of candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the third list of 28 candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections.

The second list released on Saturday comprised 36 candidates while the first 70 candidates

Chief minister Vijay Rupani will contest the election from Rajkot (West), and his deputy, Nitin Patel, from Mehsana.

Elections in the state will be held in two phases, with 89 Assembly constituencies going to vote on December 9, and 93 on December 14.

Counting of votes will take place on December 18 for the 182-member Gujarat Assembly
