'Frightened and victimised' IAS Association claims they are not on strike

Amid AAP'sprotest march to PM Modi's residence on Sunday, the IAS Association has clarified in a press conference that they were not on strike.

The Association held theconference in Delhi and said that they were victimised and were used for political reasons.

"Let us do our work. We are feeling frightened and victimised. We are being used for completely political reasons,"IAS Association's Varsh Joshi said.

"I would like to inform that we are not on strike. The information that IAS officers in Delhi are on strike is completely false and baseless. We are attending meetings, all departments are doing their works. We are sometimes also working on holidays", said IAS Association's Manisha Saxena.

In an interview to a news channel, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had claimed on Saturday that the IAS officers were under pressure to hold the strike.

The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been camping at the official accommodation-cum-office of L-G Anil Baijal since Monday.

The protest staged along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Cabinet ministers Satyendra Jain and Gopal Rai seeks an end to the Delhi IAS officers' undeclared strike and approval to his government's proposal for doorstep delivery of ration to the poor.

AAP is holding amarch to PM Modi's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on Sunday starting from Mandi House at 4 pm after their protest did not get any response from the Lt Governor.
