French security forces detained the man who took hostages in central Paris and rescued all of the captives safe and sound, the interior minister said.
The Paris Police Prefecture said that there was "a police intervention" underway in an advertising agency in the Rue des Petites-Écuries in the 10th arrondissement of the French capital, CNN reported.
Two hostages were held after which the police launched an evacuation operation to help bring them out of the building.
The hostage-taker claimed to be in possession of two bombs and had asked to speak with the Iranian ambassador in Paris and with the French government.
