Fourteen Naxals gunned down in Chhattisgarh encounter

Fourteen Naxals have been killed in an encounter with security forces near Sukma's Konta and Golapalli police station limits.

The security forces have recovered 16 weapons from the killed insurgents.

The encounter is still on and taking place in the Konta Golpalli area, a senior police official has confirmed.

Earlier in July, Security forces had killed eight Naxals, including four women, in an encounter in Chhattisgarh.

With the strategic deployment of massive forces in Chhattisgarh, the government has set a deadline of 2022 to eliminate the left-wing extremism from the state.
