Yes! Rajkumar Hirani confirms a sequel to Aamir Khan starrer '3 Idiots'

Rancho, Farhan and Raju of 3 Idiotsare soon to get a reboot as filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani just confirmed that the blockbuster hit 3 Idiots will soon get a sequel.

After a gap of nine years when all film lovers had no indication of 3 Idiots making a comeback, Hirani in an interview with a tabloid revealed that he started writing the script for 3 Idiots part 2 a few days ago.

He said, “I definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat [Joshi, writer] and I started writing something a few days ago. But it’s still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script.”

The lead star of the film, Aamir Khan had also expressed his interest in taking the story of the three friends further.

We just hope the part 2 comes soon and that it features the same faces as friends -- Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. The film will, however, take some time before it’s ready as Hirani will return to the third instalment of the Munna Bhai series after Sanju hits theatres. Reportedly, the script for the same has been finalised and he is eager to start working on it with Sanjay Dutt.
