Yami Gautam heads to Bombay High Court for her next film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'

Yami Gautam has been busy prepping for her role in Uri, the Aditya Dhar film that is based on the Uri attacks of 2016. She has also simultaneously resumed her preparations for Batti Gul Meter Chaalu which recently resumed its shoot in Mumbai.

Yami plays a pivotal role in the film as a lawyer alongside Shahid Kapoor and the film also stars, Shraddha Kapoor. It is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and discusses the discrepancies of electric billing in small towns.

To prepare for her role, Yami went to the court recently to watch a vacation bench session taking place. After being informed by her lawyer friend on when the session will be held, she made way to the Bombay High court to see what happens in the proceedings and how the prosecution and defence fight for their viewpoint.
