Kiren Rijiju bats for Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma, says they need privacy, not publicity

When Virat Kohli shared a video of his wife Anushka Sharma scolding a man for littering the streets, the internet had a mixed response to it. While many lauded the couple for telling the man the right thing, there were others who felt the couple should not have uploaded a video or at least blurred the man's face.

Some even stated that the couple shared the video for publicity. Their supporters, however, jumped to their defence stating that the two were celebrities in their own right and would not want unnecessary attention on themselves. Union Minister Kirren Rijiju also praised Kohli and Sharma and said, "C'mon, Virat & Anushka need publicity!! They would rather crave for privacy!! Our conduct reflects our mentality. Civic sense is social ethics and ethical behaviour doesn't come with wealth & education. Let's keep India clean.(sic)"

Other celebrities who lauded Anushka were Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh.
