'The Crown' actress Vanessa Kirby to work with The Rock, Jason Statham in 'Fast & Furious' spin-off

The Crown star Vanessa Kirby is in the process of finalising a film with Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and Jason Statham. The film will be a Fast & Furious spin-off titled Hobbs and Shaw.
The spin-off will focus on the characters -- Luke Hobbs (Johnson), a Diplomatic Security Service agent and Deckard Shaw (Statham), a criminal mastermind and an assassin. Chris Morgan, who has been with the franchise since past six films (including the spin-off) is behind the script of the film.
It will be directed by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch and will be produced by Original Films, alongside Johnson and his Seven Bucks Productions partners, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
Vanessa Kirby’s claim to fame is her portrayal of Princess Margaret in Netflix’s hit series The Crown on the life of British monarch.
As for the Fast & Furious franchise, there have been seven instalments so far with the film The Fate of the Furious being the first of a final trilogy. Fast & Furious 9 and 10 starring Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have also been announced. Hobbs and Shaw is slated to be released on July 26, 2019.
The actress will also be seen in Mission: Impossible — Fallout, starring Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson.
