'Student Of The Year 2' poster release: Meet Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria as new students

After delivering a successful hit in Baaghi 2, Tiger Shroff is back with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2 with newcomers Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

Tara Sutaria is not new to the camera as she was a part of a few sitcoms including The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir, which was a Hindi adaptation of the show Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

While actor Chunkey Panday’s daughter Ananya is a known name within the industry owing to her father. She was also a part of high profile charity fashion event Le Bal that was held in Paris. She made her society debut at the event along with brother Ahaan, Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur and Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur. She also graced the cover of US Variety magazine along with others who made their debut at the high society ball.

In an earlier interview, Chunky Panday had called his daughter Ananya a ‘born actor’. “My daughter is a born actor. She wouldn’t have been born if she wasn’t an actor. I would rather see her on the screen but if she invites me on the sets I’ll surely go. I wouldn’t want to break her chain of thought. My father Dr Sharad Panday was an accomplished heart surgeon. One day, at a function, someone mentioned that he was actor Chunky Pandey’s dad. He told me that was the proudest moment of his life. When I’m introduced as my kids’ father, it will be my proudest moment too.”

The second film in the hit franchise is being produced by Karan Johar and directed by Punit Malhotra. It went on floors on April 9 and is reportedly scheduled for a release on November 23.

The first film in the franchise launched Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who have each made a name for themselves in the industry.
