Sofia announced her separation from her husband as he allegedly lied and cheated her in the course of their relationship

Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat who was recently in news for having separated with her Romanian interior husband Vlad Stanescu in April as he allegedly conned her while they were married, is now in for a major shock.

After they separated, Sofia posted on her Instagram page, sharing how relieved she feels after the breakup. In one she wrote: “You said you were an interior designer who designed palaces...YOU LIED...infact..you were in debt..You said you loved me..YOU LIED..love does not lie or steal..I paid for our sacred Union..I paid for the bills and I paid for our food and clothes..and yet..you wanted to steal more...you wanted everything I had...I met you..you were working in a shop..but I did not care..I still loved you. Everybody warned me not to be with someone who had no home or money..but..I did not listen..I believed in love..but you proved me wrong. So I pushed you out of my home and my life... I have learnt a lesson..that I will never be with anyone again who is not my equal. Who does not give back....He who is honoured to stand by my side...will be my equal..will inspire..create..love and know no darkness."

Sofia got to know that not only did Vlad fraud her of her personal money and lived lavishly at her expense but has also taken the engagement ring and sold it. Speaking to a website, Sofia said, "He said he was not taking the wedding ring, but I now realise he took that too. It is worth Rs 10 Lakh. I have asked him to give the ring back."

She added, "He has sold it rather quickly. He wanted quick money. It was a Cartier wedding ring with diamonds." This was confirmed to her when on calling up her estranged husband to get the ring back, she got a call from Vlad’s friend who told her that he had sold the ring for Rs 1.5 lakh.

The two had gotten married in April last year. Post-wedding, they were staying in the UK.
