PadMan becomes Bollywood's first film to release day and date in Russia, Ivory Coast and Iraq

Akshay Kumar's film Padman is making all the right noises even before its release. A film that aims to break the taboo around menstruation, Padman is helmed by R Balki and has been written by Twinkle Khanna who has also turned producer for the film.

While the film is being hailed for starting a conversation around menstruation in public, it has also achieved another feat recently. Slated to release in India on 9th February, PadMan will also be releasing in Russia, Ivory Coast and Iraq on the same day.

In fact, it is the first Bollywood film to release day and date in these countries.

Proud producer Twinkle Khanna shared the news on Twitter and wrote, " I once told my Pad Man that I will take him places… Well, not only will Pad Man release in 50 countries all over the world but It is Bollywood’s first film that will be releasing day and date in Russia, Ivory Coast, and even Iraq.(sic)”

The film is set to clash at the Box Office with Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary this Friday.
