Varun Dhawan just got reprimanded by the Mumbai police for obliging a fan in the middle of the road.
On Thursday morning, newspaper daily Mid-day posted a photo of Dhawan clicking a selfie with a fan in the middle of the road. In the photo, Varun can be seen seated inside his car, while his fan is inside an autorickshaw parallel to his car. The actor is seen posing for the fan in one photo and in the next, the two are seen clicking a selfie. All this is happening in the middle of the road.
Mumbai Police on Twitter called out the actor and stated that how he had put his and the fan's life in danger. The tweet hilariously read "These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! U have risked ur life,ur admirer’s& few others. V expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar & youth icon like U! An E-Challan is on d way 2 ur home. Next time, V will B harsher(sic)."
The tweet highlights that no one, including celebrities, are above law and the Mumbai Police knows how to take action against those who flout rules.
The actor extended his apologies on Twitter to Mumbai police and said that the cars were stationary at a traffic signal when the photos were clicked.
