Meet Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday: The debutants of 'Student Of The Year 2'

The new batch of students is here. After months of speculations, Karan Johar finally put all rumours to rest as he announced the leading ladies of his upcoming film Student Of The Year 2.

Produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Punit Malhotra, the film's male lead is Tiger Shroff.

Tiger's inclusion in the film was announced long back and on Wednesday Karan introduced the two new fresh faces who will be inducted in the class of 2018- Tanya Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

Who is Tara Sutaria?

23-year-old Tara Sutaria may be making her debut in Bollywood with Student Of The Year 2, but the debutant is an established singer and a well-trained dancer who has been part of theatre since an early age.

The debutant has sung for films Taare Zameen Par, Guzaarish and David. A Disney Channel VJ, she has toured across the country for her work and has collaborated with the likes of Louiz Banks and Mikey McCleary.

In 2014, she was cast in the lead role of Jassie in the Disney Channel India original series Oye Jassie. She was also part of Raell Padamsee's musical, Grease.

Tara is trained in classical ballet, modern dance and Latin American dances and has been singing since the age of seven.

Who Is Ananya Panday?

Chunky and Bhavna Panday's daughter Ananya has been in the limelight from a young age. Being a celebrity kid, Ananya's is not really new to the arclights. But Ananya made heads turn just last year as she made her society debut at Le Ball in Paris last year among young guns from different places across the world that also saw Reese Witherspoon's daughter's debut.

Ananya is often spotted with Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana and Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya.

Ananya has a younger sister, Rysa.

Student Of The Year 2will be releasing in the theatres on 23 November. The film's shooting has already begun in Dehradun.
