Karishma Tanna evades questions on playing Madhuri Dixit in 'Sanju', says 'want to do her biopic'

Remember Bigg Boss contestant Karishma Tanna who became a favourite among many followers owing to her looks and style of game? Well, she is now in news for essaying the role of Madhuri Dixit in Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju that has Ranbir Kapoor play Dutt’s role.

The rumours of her playing Madhuri Dixit sort of died down after there was no mention of her in the film’s teaser or the trailer. She was not even seen in any promotional outings that the other actors of the film were spotted attending. When asked about her role though, Karishma said, "All I can say is that it’s a very important role but I really can’t talk about it." See trailer launch pictures here.

If she is unhappy with no mention of her in the film’s teaser and trailer launch, Karishma emphatically responded with: "Not at all. From the time I met Raju sir (Raju Hirani), I knew what I was signing for and how my character will get promoted. She further added, “Raju sir had made it clear to me that my role would create a lot of speculation and I am actually enjoying all the buzz and curiosity. This is exactly what we had anticipated.”

While she may or may not be a part of Sanju (considering there is no mention of her even in the poster), Karishma commented that she wants to play Madhuri if there is ever a biopic made on her life. She said, "Madhuri ma’am is a great star and I would love to do her biopic. It’s magical to see her perform, especially when she dances. I also have the same passion towards dance and I think it would be a dream come true moment for me.”
