After Arbaaz Khan, another Bollywood name has emerged in the IPL betting scandal. Filmmaker Sajid Khan's name has emerged in connection to the IPL betting racket.

According to media reports, kingpin of the racket, Sonu Jalan, told investigators that filmmaker Sajid Khan was his clientand that he used to place bets on behalf of the director regularly.

However, Jalan has stated that he used to place bets on behalf of the filmmaker seven years ago. The police said they will investigate the involvement of Sajid Khan and then decide if he needs to be questioned.

On June 1, police had busted a betting ring and arrested the 42-year-old bookie. Jalan is reportedly linked with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. It was Jalan who name Arbaaz Khan in the betting racket. Khan was questioned by the cops and the actor had confessed that he had lost Rs 2.8 crore in betting.

Meanwhile, the Thane anti-extortion cell has recovered screenshots of betting rates from Jalan's mobile phone. They have reportedly moved the operation online this year and placed the bets through a website called betntake.com, police said.
