In pictures: Nargis Fakhri is over Uday Chopra, is now dating this American director

"Rockstar"actress who charted to fame with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer was rumoured to be in an on-again-off-again relationship with Uday Chopra but looks like the actress has moved on and found someone in her new home city, New York.

Spotted in photos and Instagram stories, Nargis was seen planting kisses on American director Matt Alonzo as she wished him a happy birthday. It was first reported that the actress was seeing the American director when Nargis posteda picture with him on Christmas last year. In the photo, they were seen raising a toast while sitting in front of a Christmas tree. She had captioned it: "‘Tis the season to enjoy sharing food, fun and festivities with loved ones ! Merry Christmas Everyone! #GreyGooseLife #merrychristmas."

Nargis dated Uday for a while and apparently intended to marry him but Bollywood rumour mills suggest that Uday rejected her offer and she, with a heartbreak, left Mumbai for New York and settled there.

The actress, however, rubbished all rumours and took to her Instagram to reply with: “Looking forward to finishing my assignment in the US and being back to start promoting #Banjo in the next few weeks. #noplanstoquit #hatersgonnahate #allthesearebaselessrumours.”

Later even Uday Chopra reacted to the rumours saying, “I normally don’t respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However, these are all untrue.”
