Katrina has not said a word about the Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor relationship; here's why

Ever since Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor appeared together at Sonam Kapoor's wedding together, and declared that they are officially a couple, Alia's said 'BFF'Katrina Kaif has maintained a stoic silence.

Katrina is Ranbir's ex. The two lived together for more than two years and were on the verge of getting married till they broke up. People close to the actress had said that Kat took time to come out of the heartbreak.

Now, rumours have been rife that relationship between Kat and Alia has turned sour ever since Alia became close to Ranbir. “Katrina who is not known to share buddy vibes with any other actress had warmed up to Alia, giving the younger girl lots of fitness and food advice. That apart they also shared a lot of girl-time together. This was all before Alia began to grow close to Ranbir Kapoor,” a source was quoted as saying to an entertainment website.

While Kat has not expressed any displeasure about Alia and Ranbir's relationship openly and maintained silence over the issue, a friend of the actress states that the silence is for a reason.

"Katrina knows exactly how it is going to end for Alia. She has been there, seen it all. But it’s not Katrina’s nature to poke her nose in other’s affairs. Besides anything that she would say in the way of a warning would sound like sour grapes to the outside world. So she’s just keeping quiet,” the friend was quoted as saying.
