Happy birthday Jaaved 'hunk' Jaaferi!

Actor-comedian Jaaved Jaaferi turns 55 today.

The actor, known for co-judgingSony TV's popular dance reality show "Boogie Woogie" and a string of comedy films, is turning a new leaf with some ripped body and heavy workout regime in place.

Earlier, in a tweet, Jaaferi posted:"Wondering what four months of intense performances and strict diet do" with reference to his preparation for acting in the stage version of Mira Nair's "Monsoon Wedding" in the US.

Jaaved Jaaferiplays Lalit Varma in Monsoon Wedding the musical. The cast also includes comedian Namit Das and Outsourced star Anisha Nagarajan.

Jaaved Jaaferi, son of comedian Jagdeep, is best known for his work in films such as "Salaam Namaste", in which he played the hilarious Crocodile Dundee-caricature Jaggu, and "3 Idiots", in which he was the real Ranchordas who sent Aamir Khan's character to engineering school in his place. His last film outing was 2015's Malayalam language "Picket 43".
