Farhan Akhtar replaces Abhishek Bachchan, to be cast opposite Priyanka Chopra

There’s bad news for those hoping to see Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra on the screen again as it has been reported that Abhishek has walked out of the project and he has been replaced by actor Farhan Akhtar. This means that those who loved their pairing in the film Dil Dhadakne Do will have something more to watch from both the stars.

Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra will play the role of Secret Superstar actor Zaira Wasim’s parents in the film helmed by Shonali Bose. According to a report published in a daily, “The movie is based on Ayesha’s life and her book 'My Little Epiphanies'. Priyanka and Farhan will play her parents’ role. Zaira Wasim will be portraying Ayesha’s role in the film. The film goes on floors in August this year.”

Ayesha Chaudhary is a woman inspiration as she became a motivational speaker after getting diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis (immune deficiency disorder) at the tender age of 13. She has spoken on platforms like TEDx, INK etc. She passed away in 2015 when she was just 18-year-old.

Shonali’s last film Margarita with a Straw starring Kalki Koechlin won several awards and critical acclaim at various International Film festivals.
