'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' teaser: Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao offer a new take on love

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will now do what no other film has been able to do till now -- get the father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor to share the screen for a film.

The teaser of the film released today as Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor represent two different eras and how the definition of romance changed over time. The teaser starts from Anil Kapoor’s film with Manisha Koirala 1942: A Love Story iconic song "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga"(that seems to be the inspiration behind the name of the film) playing in the background.

Cut to now, the teaser sharply moves to Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao also make fleeting appearances in the teaser.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films promise to offer a chaotic journey of lovers Sonam and Rajkummar, that is far away from being a “simple love story” as it is full of “syaapa” meaning mess.

The romantic drama is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and is slated to hit the theatres on October 12, 2018.
