Bengali star Soumitra Chatterjee shares rare photo of Shashi Kapoor and himself shot by Satyajit Ray

Two good-looking, celebrated actors sharing a single frame. Stuff movie dreams are made of. Bengali superstar Soumitra Chatterjee went down memory lane as he shared a rare photograph of himself and late actor Shashi Kapoor on Tuesday morning.

Chatterjee mourned Kapoor's demise and shared a photograph that incidentally was clicked by none other than filmmaker Satyajit Ray himself.

Chatterjee captioned the image as, "Deeply saddened at the demise of Shashi Kapoor, such a legendary actor. May his soul rest in peace. Photo taken at Berlin by Satyajit Ray in 1965(sic)".

Incidentally, both the actors have been Dadasaheb Phalke Awardees. Chatterjee won it in 2012, Kapoor was conferred with the honour in 2015.

Shashi Kapoor breathed his last in Mumbai on Monday after suffering from a prolonged kidney illness. The actor's last rites are scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon.
