Akshay Kumar's look from 'Gold' will intrigue you!

'Gold' is based around the time when India freshly got its independence. The film will release in theatres on August 15.
Just days after official poster of Akshay Kumar starrer film Gold was released, makers have now released another still from the film featuring the star himself.
Lost in thought and in a sulking mood, Akshay look will pique your interest in his character in the film. In the film, Akshay plays the role of a Bengali hockey player, Tapan Das, who wants to win an Olympic Gold in hockey for independent India, not British India. Shared by the makers on Twitter, the caption reads: “15th August, 1936- Berlin Olympics. Uss din Tapan Das ko pata chala ki apna desh ghulam ho, toh kaisa lagta hai. #Gold.”
The film is directed by Reema Kagti and is not a biopic unlike what many think. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani, earlier told PTI, “It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports... about hockey. It is not based on any character.”
Gold also features Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh and Mouni Roy in key roles and will hit the screens on August 15. It marks the Bollywood debut of Naagin fame actor Mouni.
The trailer of the film will release on June 25 attached to the prints of upcoming film Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt in his biopic. The makers also released a new poster for the film.
