Aamir Khan, Raju Hirani to judge scriptwriting contest

Indian actor Aamir Khan,known for his prowess in acting and refining scripts of films he works on, is now judging a pan-India scriptwriting contest.

The actor along with director Raju Hirani and film screenwritersJuhiChaturvediandAnjum?Rajabali will bejudging Cinestaan India's Storytellers script contest that is currently in its Delhi phase of selection.

The contest in its totality will be judging budding scriptwriters from all over India in what is the biggest script writing contest in the country.

In a statement, Khan said, "I believe we have incredible talent in this country.? However, that talent has been facing immense dif?culty in reaching the Indian ?lm industry. I feel that good writers don’t have enough opportunities and this is where the “CinestaanIndia’s Storytellers” Script contest will help tremendously.”

Launched on October 15, the contest serves as a great platform for budding talent.The best script has an award prize of Rs.25 lakhs with some getting selected forthe company's script bank that can later be adapted into a movie by studios and production houses.
