Encounter underway between Army, terrorists in J&K's Kulgam

Two to three terrorists are reported to have been trapped in an ongoingencounter in Jammu Kashmir's Kulgam district.

The Indian Army and the state police are jointly undertaking the encounter against the terrorists.

It is beingcarried out at Khudwani area of Kulgam in South Kashmir.

The security forces have deployed six additional coys of CRPF in the site of the encounter.

Following the encounter in South Kashmir, the authorities in Kulgam and Anantnag districts suspended mobile internet services. Train services on the Srinagar- Banihal route were also suspended. Though the trains on the Srinagar- Baramulla route were functioning normally.
