There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale on Friday evening hit Arunachal Pradesh. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
The epicentre of the quake was located at a depth of 64 km at northeast of Bomdila of West Kameng district in the state, according to USGS Big Quakes.
Tremors were also felt in some parts of Assam, Dimapur in Nagaland among other areas. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
Meanwhile, at least 37 people have lost their lives till now in floods and two landslide incidents in Assam. Approximately 53,52,107 people have been affected in 4,128 villages across 28 districts of the state.
