A day after an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Uttarakhand, another earthquake jolted the Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal.
The earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter and occurred around 5 pm today.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the depth of the epicentre was estimated to be around 10 km.
Tremors were felt across the region.
No reports of loss of life or property have been recorded so far.
