The Delhi Traffic Police has shut shop. No trucks are to be allowed into the city for three days.
The borders were sealed at 11 pm on Thursday night, and will remain so till 11 pm on November 12.
The traffic police were following orders from the National Green Tribunal which had on Thursday ordered the shutting down of all construction and industrial activities till November 14.

Delhi however still woke up to a polluted Friday, with a number of areas reporting air quality in the "hazardous" category.
There is generally a dip in air quality in Delhi as winter approaches.The cooler air traps pollutants closer to the ground -- a phenomenon called inversion.
Delhi Traffic Police said the banning of trucks could be extended beyond November 12 should there be no improvement in air quality.
They added though that trucks carrying essentials were being allowed into the city.
In the meantime, schools have been shut in the city because of the pollution.
And the city will undergo another odd-even round -- with cars with odd and even number plates allowed to play only on alternate days -- starting Monday.
