
The five-year-old boy who was kidnapped from his school van in Delhi last month was rescued early Tuesday morningby Delhi Police's crime branch.
The child is safe and has been handed over to his parents.
Abductedon January 25, the child was rescued after Delhi police's crime branch raided an apartment inGhaziabad. The kidnappers had rented the apartment to hide the child in.
The kidnappers opened fire on the cops when they raided the apartment.
During the gunbattle, one kidnapper was shot dead and two injured.
One policeman was also hit by a bullet but got saved because of his bullet-proof jacket.
The resident of Shahdara,child was kidnapped on January 25 by two masked men on a motorcycle when he was going to school in the morning.
The kidnappers boarded the school van and shot at the van driver in his leg and fled away with the child.
The school was informed of the incident through a woman attendant inside the school van and the school contacted the Delhi Police.
The kidnappers were also asking for the ransom of 50 lakh from the child's family.
