Delhi Metro's Lajpat Nagar-South Campus Pink line to open today

Another corridor of Delhi Metro will be inaugurated today. Lajpat Nagar Metro-Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus line (Pink Line) will be opened today. 

The event will be attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri.

The corridor will connect four major markets of the city -- INA, Lajpat Nagar, South Extension and Sarojini Nagar. The metro line will be a continuation of the presently operational Majlis Park - Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus section.

The new corridor will run from Lajpat Nagar to Sir Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh and will pass by a total of six stations -- Sir Vishweshwaraih Moti Bagh, Bhikaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.

Commuters will be able to switch to other metro lines at INA and Lajpat Nagar metro stations.
