Those who were rejoicing at the fact that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor would come together to walk the ramp for Manish Malhotra's Mijwan show would be disappointed to read this news.
The two actors were scheduled to walk the ramp on Monday night as showstoppers at the annual Mijwan Fashion Show which is organised by Shabana Azmi. But the show had to be cancelled at the last moment as Ranbir Kapoor has been diagnosed with typhoid. According to media reports, the actor has been advised complete bed rest and is currently at his Bandra home.
"He has been instructed to follow a special diet and stay away from any sort of strenuous exercise. This spells disaster for the star, who has been on an advanced muscle-building physical training regimen for his role in Brahmastra," said a source close to the actor.
"Doctors have also advised the Kapoor scion to skip Shabana Azmi's popular fashion show where he was supposed to walk the ramp with former flame Deepika Padukone," the source added. The show though has not been cancelled indefinitely. Reports suggest that the show will now take place at a later date.
Ranbir's illness is likely to affect the shooting schedule of Brahmastra. The actor was training hard for the role in Ayan Mukerji's futuristic film.
The first schedule of Brahmastra in Bulgaria, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt, has been wrapped.
