COVID-19 death toll touches 779 as number of cases rises to 24,942 in India

Ready to cooperate with Indian agencies: Chinese suppliers of rapid test kits

Union Health Ministry on Saturday said that 1490 new cases and 56 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

India's total number of coronavirus positive cases has crossed 24,942 (including 18,953 active cases, 5210 cured/discharged/migrated and 779 deaths), according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Seven new cases of coronavirus were reported from Kerala on Saturday taking the total number of infected persons in the state to 457 and seven people were cured, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

Meanwhile, four more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Ranchi on Saturday, said Ranchi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) director Dr DK Singh.
