Gujarat elections: Congress spokesperson resigns, workers vandalise Gandhinagar party office

Congress party workers on Sunday vandalised property at the party office in Gandhinagar.

The workers reportedly created a havoc and broke chairs and television sets in the office.

They had been protesting ticket distribution by the party in the upcoming Gujarat elections.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Congress spokesperson Rekhaben Chaudhary submitted her resignation.

The reason for her resignation is still not clear but media reports said she too was unhappy over ticket distribution.

The Gujarat elections will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14.

The resultwill be announced on December 18.
