'Congress finance minister will bring iPad in future': Chidambaram on Sitharaman's red folder

Congress leader and former finance minister P Chidambaram on Friday said that Congress' finance minister will in future bring an iPad.

Chidambaram was commenting on Sitharaman appearing in the parliament carrying the budget documents in four-fold red cloth, ditching the tradition of carrying a briefcase containing budget documents.

''Take it from me, our Congress' finance minister will in future bring an iPad,'' the former finance minister said.

Punching holes in Sitharaman's budget speech, he said While the finance minister claimed that we have reduced NPAs by Rs 1 lakh crore, she should have also said that in the same period banks have written off Rs 5,55,603 crore. ''why didn't she say that, I don't know,'' he added.
