China scraps import tariffs on 28 drugs, envoy says move will benefit Indian pharma cos

China has scrapped import tariffs on 28 drugs. 

The tariffs were scrapped on May 1. 

News reports quoted Chinese ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui as saying the move would prove to be a major benefit to Indian pharmaceutical companies, and would reduce the trade imbalance between the two countries.
